Ich bin der Beschilderung "Naturlehrpfad Hohe Maas ( Gesamtlänge 7,5 km)" gefolgt. Leider ist dieser schöne Rundweg nicht durchgängig beschildert, es wechseln auch die Wegmarkierungen.

My first hike of the new year. I wish you all a healthy new year with time for many exciting hikes.
I enjoy hiking this loop on the Hohe Maas in winter when there's snow. The trees offer protection from the cold wind. Finally, it's snowed, blanketing the landscape in white.

Ganz oben in den Bergen ab etwa 800 Höhe liegt tatsächlich ein wenig Schnee. Sonne ☀️ satt und super Fernsicht. Weiße Weihnachten gibt es tatsächlich noch, aber nur für die fleißigen Wanderer, die ein paar Höhenmeter Aufstieg nicht scheuen.

I was out on the local mountain, beautiful.
I went a few meters further around the Rupperg 😄. Maybe our hikes will cross again.

In search of sunshine 🌞, I drove to the Rennsteig trail and hiked to our two highest mountains in the Thuringian Forest. It was almost windless and about 10 degrees Celsius. Plus, the visibility was sensational. It's so beautiful when you don't have to see the damp, cold fog from below, but from above. Now all we need is snow.

It finally snowed again, transforming the landscape into a winter wonderland. Blue skies and sunshine – simply glorious. Unfortunately, it's far too warm, so the beautiful snow is already melting and dripping from the trees.
