De Eco-stier, jeg hidtil har vandret, ligger alle i Landkreis Kassel. I 2010 anlagde Geschichts- und Heimatverein Kirchberg dog denne nye Eco-sti syd for kredsgrænsen. Landsbyen Kirchberg hører til byen Niedenstein i den nordvestlige del af Schwalm

A glorious Thursday hike in March, with sunshine and fresh air, was the perfect opportunity for this beautiful and varied circular route.

Since tomorrow, Thursday, was unfortunately booked, today turned into a beautiful, sunny Wednesday afternoon in the fresh air. ☺️



From Bosseborn, a hilltop village belonging to the district town of Höxter, I hiked along scenic ridges, some sections offering lovely views 🤗 of Ovenhausen in the Grubetal

For a short, varied, and educational walk in the Solling forest, the Gnome Trail near Sievershausen is ideal. It was part of my Sunday stroll today in the sunshine!

A totally sunny Thursday 🌞 was forecast, but the sun only slowly broke through in the afternoon. 🌤 Still, it was quite mild for a February day. ☺️



Today's plan was an east-west crossing 😅 of the Göttingen Forest. The Göttingen Forest is a range of hills in the Leine Uplands, directly east of the Leine

After a cold morning at -5°C, this Sunday turned out beautifully. 🌞



Starting in the pretty Hessian Weser village of Oedelsheim, the circular hiking trail marked Oe 2 leads through a very scenic and varied landscape up to the Kiffing (and back down into the Weser Valley 😄).

Since I had a date in Kassel anyway, the Drusel Trail was a great option for a mixed urban hiking route. I'd had it on my radar for a while, and I really should have done it ages ago – it's so beautiful and varied. 🤗

Winter still has our region firmly in its grip. With gray weather and a high of 1°C, I much prefer sightseeing to forest and field paths covered in deep snow or black ice. 😅



So today I set off for Wolfhagen, the westernmost and largest municipality in the Kassel district, which officially bears the nickname

The forecast for all-day snowfall this Thursday wasn't exactly accurate. 🌨

It's definitely better to stay close to home than to travel anywhere. 😉
