For centuries, the collegiate church of St. Philipp and Jakob has risen majestically on a hill above Bad Grönenbach and has shaped the townscape.
Inside you can see a wide three-aisled Gothic church with artistic furnishings from different centuries.
The whole room looks festive and inviting.

Vandring

In 1559, the Reich Marshal Count Philipp von Pappenheim introduced the Reformation in Grönenbach. In the first post-Reformation decades, the collegiate church served as a place of worship for both the Catholic and the Evangelical-Reformed community. The resulting power struggles and religious-political disputes only came to peace when the congregations were firmly established and each had secured its place of worship: the Catholic collegiate church and the Protestant hospital church.
