One of the many objects in the Palatine Museum Park. If you are interested, please allow plenty of time = come early. Admission to the museum is combined with the Colosseum. Because of Covid (February 2022) the tickets can be bought online and have an entry time. We were allocated 12:55 and were allowed in 20 minutes before the time. Far too short, the park closes at 4:30 p.m. and we were kicked out without even having seen nearly everything.

Vandring

The Tempio di Apollo Palatino is not really in the forum but much more on one of the three hills surrounding it the Palatine. From here you also have a perfect view of the Circus Maximus. Built before the birth of Christ Apollo Temple was built by Emperor Augustus 28 BC. Consecrated and stood in close relation to his own dwelling on the Palatine. The place where he realized the building was probably indicated by God himself.

Beautiful here: much less busy than in the Roman Forum, plus cozy shady spots and impressive ruins. Here you should take your time and enjoy. Attention: the combined tickets with Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine allow only ONE entry to the Roman Forum and Palatine complex. So what is not possible is to go out again after the Roman Forum (e.g. lunch) and then go back in to visit the Palatine! For this you have to buy a ticket again, even if the information pages on the Internet suggest otherwise.
