The Roman Forum (in Latin, Forum Romanum, although the Romans commonly referred to it as Forum Magnum or simply Forum) was the forum of the city of Rome, that is, the central area, similar to the central squares in present-day cities.

The Roman Forum is one of the largest archaeological sites in Rome. Until about 150 years ago this was a garden and the vegetation covered the valley many meters deep with earth. The place gives an idea of the size and importance of the former boulevard with the market square, temples, etc. The "Temple of Vesta" is one of the many details. There were (allegedly) virginal priestesses responsible for the holy fire 🔥. Figures of women can also be seen.
Like so much in Rome, the more you deal with it, the more extensive the details and the story become.

You walk over the oldest part of Rome, just amazingly fascinating. One does not even think how much lower ancient Rome was. I also found that surprisingly much has been preserved. This is history to touch ... Who is on it - EASY ONLY THE HAMMER!
