Vercors - Isère

Featuring one mighty climb to the Croix des Suifs, this mid-length MTB Tour is a loop south of Lans-en-Vercours, with an easy ride back into the town along the flat and traffic-free ViaVercors route.



Expect to take a couple of hours to complete the route, or longer if you pack a picnic!

From Lans-en-Vercors to the southern extremity of the ViaVercors in Corrençon-en-Vercors, this section of the ViaVerde takes you up into the mountains to the golf course where many of the more technical mountain biking trails start.

From the Vercors town of Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte, this short Tour takes you up to the north over the stunning Plateau Charvet and loops back to the town.



From the high town, you start by descending off the hillside to the north to La Chaussère, then take the singletrack to Rochetière.



Shortly after

From the town of Autrans, this 27.1 kilometre (18.8 mile) mountain biking Tour leads you north to La Sure on the valley balcony track, before zig-zagging steadily up the hillside to the east to reach the high alpine pastures of Molière and Charande.

Named after the easily accessible cave of Grotte de la Ture, this loop from Autrans spans 26.1 kilometres (16.2 miles) of mountain doubletrack, spectacular singletrack and quiet tarmac, with some incredible sites to visit along the way.



You'll get warmed up straight away with the climb out of Autrans

This short MTB Tour heads out of Lans-en-Vercors and up the hillsides to the west, reaching La Col de la Croix de Servagnet at 1,235 metres (4,052 ft) and circling back to the south.



From the large car park on Route de l'Aigle, the Tour heads through the centre of town past the tourism office to climb

If you're looking for a short spin that packs in some mega views, this 10.2 kilometre (6.3 mile) loop to the Bec de l' Aigle is for you.



From the car park, start with a short, steep climb to the east, before dropping straight back down onto roads and tracks heading north.

The black-rated extreme Parcours La Légende 87 has been based on the 1987 World Cup course, and will surely test both the skills and stamina of even the most experienced riders.

The Clariant Loop is a blue-rated mountain biking trail measuring 21 kilometres (13 miles), featuring a few larger climbs, including the summit at the Auberge du Clariant.



From the town of Villard-de-Lans, you head south on this mostly out-and-back route, with a few loops through Corrençon-en-Vercors
