On the fifth stage, you'll travel deep into Triglav National Park. Along the way, you'll encounter cultural sights such as chapels and watermills, as well as natural wonders such as the Peričnik Waterfall.



You'll spend the night in the idyllic Aljažev Hut, set against the imposing gray mountain walls.

The Slovenian Alpine Cycle-touring Trail (STKP) is a 1,800-kilometer circular route through Slovenia. It connects all of Slovenia's major mountain ranges and leads you through vineyards, orchards, and to the Adriatic Sea.



Along the route, you'll find huts for overnight stays and STKP stamping stations

With stage 40, your adventure is slowly coming to an end. But there are still some exciting kilometers ahead. On this stage, you'll pass several huts with refreshments—perfect for taking a break between all the steep climbs.



The destination and overnight accommodation is the Gore Mountain Hut at 791 meters.

After the long climb the day before, you can look forward to an equally long descent from the Menina Plateau at the start of Stage 39. The gravel road winds beautifully through meadows and past farms, offering endless views.



After a short intermediate climb, you can refuel for the final climb of the day

A long descent, a long ascent: This is what Stage 38 looks like, from one mountain range to the next. In the valley floor, you cross the Savinja River and a few small villages before climbing again.



The destination is a mountain hut on the beautiful Menina Plateau.

Mountain biking at its finest awaits you on the 37th stage through the Kamniške Alps (Slovene: Kamniške Alpe). You'll stay at altitude throughout the entire route, offering fantastic views right in front of your front wheel.



About halfway through the route, you can stop for refreshments at the Travnik

Whether the evening before or at the start of Stage 36, you definitely shouldn't miss the Rinka Waterfall at the end of the Logar Valley.



Afterwards, you'll cycle a long, gentle downhill stretch along the Savinja River, which has formed a narrow gorge here.



At the end of the route and at your overnight

Halfway there! With the 22nd stage, you're already halfway through your long-distance cycling adventure—wow! After a few days in the forest, this tour becomes more open and culturally diverse. You'll cycle through several villages and get to know the border region with Croatia.
