Nature Kicks

My name is Shameer, and I founded Nature Kicks & The Shameer Shah Project. I'm an Outdoor Adventure Leader & Guide and a Photographer. Recently, I launched the Nature Kicks Hiker's Club.

Having spent so much time trekking, exploring, navigating and camping in the great outdoors across continents, celebrating beautiful natural places and absorbing the benefits of nature, I thought to offer my outdoor guided adventures to others so that they too can have the opportunity to experience the same.

Exploring the great outdoors on foot and by bicycle has been two serious obsessions of mine since a young age. Having lived on three continents, one thing in common is that the great outdoors is where I focused 100% of my time and resources. Whether camping, bouldering, trekking or cycling, I couldn't get enough time in the wilderness to experience what nature offers.

I'm also passionate about bringing nature to life through photography and video. Along with conservation, I'm also campaigning for ways to encourage the Asian, Black and minority ethnic communities to get outdoors and that nature and the great outdoors are an inclusive experience for all.

I had the pleasure of guiding a small group on a 12.5-mile hike through the hills and forests — a perfect route for early autumn. The crisp air and changing leaves made the journey through Clipper Down and the Golden Valley in the northern Chiltern Hills even more magical.

A thrilling hike from Tintwistle to Marsden took me along the rugged ridge near Featherbed Moss. With clouds hanging low, visibility was no more than 10 metres, and winds howled at 50-55 mph, sending rain sideways. It was borderline dangerous but exhilarating, requiring complete focus, especially while

Park up in Chipperfield near the church. There's plenty of parking elsewhere too. As you begin the hike in Chipperfield, you almost immediately traverse a glorious woodland. Some old, huge trees with the "must look out for" Spanish Chestnut tree. Walk along undulated hillsides and descend down into the
