There is a lot to discover on the circular hiking trail through the Hagen city forest - both for children and adults. With its 11.6 kilometers in length, the 3 TürmeWEG is an excellent daily destination for the whole family. The hike takes up to 5 hours and is at the highest point 373 meters above sea level. The numerous viewpoints offer a great view over the city of Hagen. When the view is clear, the lapwing can even see the neighboring Sauerland and the central Ruhr area.

From the Hohenlimburg train station (115 m) an access path leads uphill via Herrenstraße, Neuer Schloßweg and Alter Schloßweg to the Schloss car park. From Hohenlimburg Castle (210m) you go past the upper parking lot straight into the forest. The Röhrenweg meanders along the slope with a wonderful view of the valley. At a junction we keep left and walk over open terrain to the height (307m). There to the right (nice view of the castle). Further over the height and then downhill. At a crossroad steeply down to the left and shortly afterwards right. Downhill to the Piepenbrink car park (entry is also possible here). A detour leads to the Raffenburg ruins (circular route A7 Raffenburgweg). Continue to the right along the slope of the Wesselbach valley. Then steeply down to Hierseier Weg. Straight ahead along the street In der Arche (190 m) and via Neuer and Alter Schloßweg back to the starting point. From the transition between Alter and Neuer Schloßweg, the access path leads over Herrenstraße back to Hohenlimburg station.

From the starting point, take the B 54 for a while in the direction of Hagen. At the Hotel Funkenhaus turn right into the street In der Asmecke. At the last house we leave the street to the right. We hike uphill on well-developed forest paths and reach a crossroads. Now we turn right along the mountain. The Rumscheider Weg is reached on hillside paths, which we follow a little downhill. Now to the left and along the stream valley towards Dahl. On the last stretch we pass the Kaiser Friedrich monument. It goes back to the end point via Vollmann-und Deging-Strasse.
