Fulda-Radweg R1

Der Fulda-Radweg R1 verläuft auf rund 255 Kilometern quer durch Hessen – von der Rhön bis ins Weserbergland. Entlang der Fulda führt der Weg von Gersfeld bis Bad Karlshafen und bietet Radfahrern eine einzigartige Kombination aus Naturerlebnis, historischer Architektur und urbanem Flair.

Unter dem Motto „Alles am Fluss“ erwarten dich ruhige Flusslandschaften, eindrucksvolle Fachwerkstädte wie Melsungen, Rotenburg a. d. Fulda oder Kaufungen, sowie spannende Zwischenstopps in Orten wie Kassel mit dem UNESCO-Welterbe Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe.

Der R1 ist durchgängig gut beschildert, überwiegend flach und bietet dank zahlreicher Bahnhöfe entlang der Strecke eine flexible Etappeneinteilung.

Besonders praktisch: Der Radweg ist in ein dichtes Netz regionaler Routen eingebunden. Über Verbindungen zum Diemelradweg (5 Sterne), Ederradweg (4 Sterne), Weserradweg (4 Sterne) und Werratal-Radweg (3 Sterne) lassen sich weitere Regionen Nordhessens erkunden – ideal für mehrtägige Touren oder individuelle Abkürzungen.
