For this demanding mountain bike day tour you should bring a certain level of fitness. You will be rewarded for the efforts on this circuit with breathtaking views of the Salzburg mountains. Technically, the tour is not particularly difficult since you are mainly on gravel and asphalt roads. From Flachau the route leads along the Enns cycle path to Reitdorf, where you turn left towards the bathing lake. Keep to the right after the bathing lake and follow the Aigenbergweg on asphalt for about seven kilometers, before going on a gravel road towards Eben.Over the Höllberg and the Blümeck you crank up to the Heinrich-Kiener-Haus on the Hochgründeck, which is picturesquely located at an altitude of 1,800 meters. A little above the hut you will find the idyllic St. Vinzenz Friedenskircherl. The summit of the 1,827-meter-high Hochgründeck is also a worthwhile destination with a gigantic view, which you can reach from the Heinrich-Kiener-Haus in just a few minutes. After a refreshment you roll back down to the Ginau saddle and then on to the lacquer chapel. The Öbristweg takes you down to the Moos district of Wagrain and then back to Flachau.

This moderately difficult tour, which leads from Flachau via Altenmarkt to Zauchensee with pleasantly steady climbs, offers wonderful views. The tour begins with the Enns cycle path to Altenmarkt. At the intersection in the center of Altenmarkt (in front of the church), turn right and follow the road for about 3 kilometers towards Zauchensee. After the campsite just before the Hochbifangbahn valley station, turn right over the bridge and immediately left onto the gravel path. The old Zauchstrasse, which runs parallel to the asphalt road, is the highlight of this tour and is equally popular with bikers and hikers. It leads with a moderate increase in beautiful nature to Zauchensee, the turning point of the tour.In Zauchensee there are several ways to stop off and enjoy the view of the lake. In summer it is worth having your bathing suit with you and planning a little time to sunbathe and splash around. The same route takes you back to the starting point in Flachau. Now the old Zauchstrasse reveals its true temperament: it gets really fast downhill. Please pay attention to hikers and other cyclists - the road tempts you to go full throttle.

This tour is for pleasure cyclists who want to climb a few meters and have wide views of the Flachau Valley. The majority of the tour runs on paved roads and paths, but the 320 vertical meters come in an increase - so your condition is required here. You start in Flachau and follow the signposted bike path along the Enns to the Brückenwirt in Altenmarkt. There you cross the level crossing and then turn right towards Moosalm. Now comes the short, crisp climb with a few hairpin bends to the Moosalm. Here you can have a wonderful break and enjoy the panoramic view.Follow the meadow and goods path to the barrier down towards Eben and then on a paved bike path to Reitdorf and on the Enns bike path back to Flachau.

This tour seems almost easy at first - but appearances are deceptive. A total of 1,120 vertical meters have to be mastered on this tour. But it is technically quite relaxed and you can fully engage in the beautiful mountain landscape. After the first five kilometers on the Enns cycle path, there are 900 vertical meters up to the Frauenalmsattel, the highest point of the tour at 1,852 meters. It's worth taking a break at the Frauenalm. High above the Kleinarltal it goes over the Schüttalm to the Edelweiß Alm.After the Edelweiß Alm, a last climb awaits you before you head for the Moadörfl and the bike path back to Flachau.

Short, crisp, promising: The Sattelbauerrunde is a compact exit with great views of the Dachstein massif and the fabulous mountain inns of winter builders and saddle builders. The tour does not require any single trails and is therefore suitable for all fit bikers. From Flachau you can take the Enns cycle path towards Reitdorf, where you take the Feuersangberg junction. Now it goes uphill steadily until you reach the junction to the Berggasthof Winterbauer. Either you already stop here or head straight to the Berggasthof Sattelbauer, about five kilometers away. Just before that you will find a beautiful wooden chapel. A brief pause at this picturesque place pays off.In the saddle farmer you can stop off, enjoy the excellent cuisine and sink in the sight of the impressive Dachstein massif. Then it's down the saddle path to Flachau.

This moderately difficult hike is a special experience that integrates a great service of the region around Flachau: the Sportweltbus. It runs daily from mid-June to mid-September in the entire Salzburger Sportwelt and Obertauern region and takes you to the starting point of this hike, among other things.Get off at the stop "Felseralm / Johanneswasserfall". A few steep steps lead down to the Johanneswasserfall, a real natural spectacle in which the roaring water rushes about 60 meters into the depths. You can even walk behind the waterfall, which is even more impressive. If you have enough of the water features, go on: You then hike to the Felseralm. A little later, a beautiful high-altitude hike starts along the Hirschwandsteig to the Südwienerhütte - on the way you can enjoy a fantastic mountain panorama. After a leisurely stop at the hut, we will continue via Unterpleißling down to Flachauwinkl. From there you can drive back to Flachau on the Sportweltbus.

This tour starts at the chapel at the Gasthofalm in the valley of Flachauwinkl directly after the motorway exit. No sooner have you parked your car than you are already in the middle of the idyllic mountains. You march through dense, shady forests towards Unterbichlhütte. The path leads you through an idyllic alpine pasture with grazing cows and many beautiful impressions of the wonderful nature on the way to the Südwiener hut at 1,802 meters altitude, which emerges on a gentle path. Now it's time for a long rest before hiking up to the summit of the Spirzingers. A hollow path leads up through dense mountain pines. After about half an hour you reach a crossroads on the ridge of the mountain. If you go to the right, you walk directly to the Spatzeck. If you follow the ridge to the end, you will come to the summit cross of the Spirzingers at 2,065 meters, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking views.Tip:
Went hiked this tour is especially demanding for children - 830 meters are not without. But you can easily defuse the hike by staying overnight at the Südwiener Hütte, then wandering up to the summit early in the morning and catching the brilliant morning atmosphere there. This is how a hike becomes a real adventure!

This tour is a real highlight: from the mountain inn Sattelbauer a beautiful trail leads you through the forest up to the Lackenalmen, probably one of the most beautiful alpine pastures in the region. If you look around for a moment, you can easily tell where this alpine pasture has its name from - at least if it is not too dry: in many small puddles and waters, the "paints", the landscape is beautifully reflected.A steeper climb takes you up to the summit of the Lackenkogel, which will reward you for your efforts with a gigantic view of the Enns Valley, the Dachstein Massif and the Hohe Tauern. On this hike, you can cover a whopping 810 meters - a challenging hike, for which you should allow enough time. At the beginning you can still strengthen yourself in the mountain inn Sattelbauer, en route the Lackenalm invites you for a stop. Take enough water and a snack - on top of the Lackenkogel you'll be glad. To start the tour, you can simply drive the car that you can park at the saddle maker.

Under the motto "one way and many good wishes" begins this theme trail on the edge of the forest, just a little way above the church of Flachau.
Through the curved wooden arch that represents the entrance portal, your path leads you first through beautiful, sparse coniferous forest. Ferns, Moose and every now and then a delicate flower greeting along the way accompany you as well as lovingly designed panels with many good wishes. For example, you read "I wish you lightness. Make yourself comfortable and send your worries to heaven. They should move on, like clouds. "
An old, hollowed-out tree - the so-called "wish tree" - invites you to think very hard of your heart's desire and symbolically put it into the interior of the tree with a pine or spruce cone.

At the highest point of the tour sits the wooden Hubertuskapelle at the edge of the forest. Here it pays off to stop. On the one hand because of the fantastic view of the Dachstein massif, on the other hand you will find next to the beautiful wooden chapel on a tree a box with a "wish book", in which you can gaug and also write your wishes. The nearby mountain inn Sattelbauer then invites you to a cozy rest, before you strengthened again wandered down into the valley.
