Your hike begins and ends at the valley station of the Rauschbergbahn, where there is an inn and a hotel. Already during the ascent with the gondola you can enjoy wide views of the mighty rock faces and the valley. Before you start you can marvel at the sculpture "The Sky Climber" from the viewing terrace. Then you hike over the summit of the Rauschberg and past the Rauschberghaus to the east. Again and again you can look forward to fantastic mountain panoramas that stretch as far as Lake Chiemsee. Afterwards you follow the unique Holzgeisterweg via the Rauschbergalm. Detailed wooden figures, like Kölli the forest spirit, line the path and at seven stations you can learn everything about wood. After almost three kilometers, you leave the wide alpine meadows and dive into the forest. On curved paths you hike downhill and reach the banks of the Fischbach. After a short stretch, the stream flows into the Weißen Traun, which accompanies you through the forest. When you reach the shimmering green Taubensee, you are almost at the destination of your hike - because the valley station of the Rauschbergbahn, your starting point, is on the other bank.

Fresh mountain air blows your nose as you ascend with the chairlift: from the valley station at 740 meters, you can easily climb up to 1,425 meters. Once at the top, a family-friendly high-altitude hiking area awaits you with a wonderful 360-degree panoramic view from the Central Alps to Lake Chiemsee. If you get hungry or thirsty, you can stop at the Unternbergalm with a sun terrace and enjoy the view for now.The summit of the low mountain is only a few steps away from the mountain station and can also be walked with children. The highest point is not a summit cross, but a painted monument. From the summit it goes back past the mountain station and alpine hut and continues downhill. The colorful alpine meadows smell wonderful and are a source of feed for the alpine cows. You can try delicious cheese from their milk in the Boider Kaser hut.Afterwards you walk on a gravel path towards the valley and come across another, worthwhile refreshment stop - the rustic Raffner Alm seems to have sprung from a hiking guide. In front of the wooden hut you can have a good break and eat. Finally, there are only a few minutes' walk to the valley station of the Unternberglift.

After you have relaxed taken the cable car from Bad Reichenhall up to the Predigtstuhl, the circular route starts at the mountain station. You can climb the first summit of this wonderful hike just a few minutes' walk away: the Berchtesgadener Land with a view of the Chiemgau is at your feet on the 1,613-meter-high summit of the Predigtstuhl. With a view of Hochstaufen, Untersberg and Watzmann it goes down into the Schlegelmulde, where the rustic Schlegelalm invites you to take a break. This is followed by a demanding zigzag climb up to the Hochschlegel, on which there is a wooden summit cross. From the second summit of this hike, the path leads through densely overgrown mountain pine fields to the third highlight, the Karkopf (1738 m). A fantastic mountain panorama awaits you even on the highest peak of the entire Latten Mountains. After you have entered the summit book, you hike through the breathtaking landscape back to the mountain station of the Predigtstuhlbahn. A stop at the nostalgic mountain restaurant, which is widely known for its fine cuisine, is recommended there. From the glazed viewing terrace you have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and, in ideal weather, you can even see Lake Chiemsee in the distance. Afterwards you hover relaxed in only eight and a half minutes back to the valley to Bad Reichenhall.

After the ascent to the middle station with the Hochfelln cable car, this tour starts with wonderful views of the idyllic Bründling Alm. In front of the mighty peaks of the Hochfelln and Rötelwandkopf, rustic huts nestle into the alpine meadows. Three of them are managed and invite you to a snack. Strengthened you follow the Hochfellnweg downhill through the forest and can enjoy the wonderfully fresh forest air.A particularly beautiful section awaits you along the Black Ache: For millions of years, the stream has carved a canyon into the rock, in which it is nice and cool even in summer. When you arrive in the valley, you come across the White Achen, which you follow to the valley station of the Hochfelln cable car. On the way to your destination you can still visit the interesting Maxhütte Museum. The Mühlwinkler Hof is located directly at the valley station, where you can satisfy your hunger at the end of the tour.

The Wendelstein is an Eldorado for those interested in geology and a prime example of visible earth history. That's why you can experience a journey through time on the popular summit and panorama trail on display boards and at adventure stations. The geological features on the Wendelstein and the history of the region are clearly illustrated. The starting point of the circular hike is the mountain station at 1,724 meters, where the cog railway and cable car from two different valley locations meet. From Osterhofen you take the cable car and from Brannenburg take the train up to the mountain. You walk clockwise past the broadcasting building of the Bavarian Radio and climb in serpentines to the summit. The ascent is characterized not only by fantastic views, but also by interesting display boards.Once at the top, a unique panorama, a summit cross and the university observatory await you. From the highest point of the hike at 1,838 meters, the route continues on partly narrow and secured paths towards the eastern summit. Adventure stations such as the trough couch, the stone sliding area and the walkable weather hole illustrate the geological connections. With a view of Lake Chiemsee and Chiemgau you get back to the mountain station, where you can take a detour to the striking Wendelsteinkircherl. A delicious snack and a cool beer are served on the large terrace of the Wendelsteinhaus.
