Königsforst and Wahner Heide are the local recreation area for cyclists on the right bank of the Rhine. These areas are well signposted, but it is helpful to use GPS data to navigate the winding paths, as it is easy to lose track.

The tour is a short round trip for the afternoon, but with interesting

Already in Mülheim we drive on the canalized Strunde towards Merheimer Heide. There we cross the Faulbach and follow the Strunde to the Strunder Mühle. Through the Thielenbrucher Forest we reach Altenberg for a rest. The Dhünn takes us back to Schlebusch to the U4.

You should take a day for this tour. We will ride through the Siebengebirge from north to south with wonderful places and an impressive panorama. This tour is designed in such a way that there are no more places to stop after Waidmannsruh to Erpel am Rhein. So take plenty of food and drinks with you

This tour first takes us to the heights with a view of the Rhine Valley. Halfway through, we could rest at the Heisterbach Monastery to recharge our batteries for the next few meters of altitude. After a short detour on foot to the Stenzelberg or to the Rosenau ruins, we have managed the altitude within

This 12 km long tour is perfect for a spontaneous visit to the Siebengebirge. Because it is so short, it is not very strenuous. We ride at around 150 m above the Rhine with wonderful views of the Rhine Valley, rest at Heisterbach Monastery and ride along narrow paths back into the valley to Oberdollendorf.

Our tour takes us to the edge of the future Hambach Lake. We get a good insight into open-cast lignite mining. In front of the impressive panorama of the lignite excavators, we drive through the village of Morschenich, which was saved from mining at the last moment.

We can also still cross Alt Manheim

This tour is suitable for mountain bikers as there are some technical sections.

From Hellenthal the path leads past Hollerath to the anti-tank installations of the former West Wall. Then it goes steeply downhill to the Olef to the daffodil meadows. They bloom in April and May. After more uphill and downhill
