The FR1 - Dreisamufer cycle path

The FR1 is 12 km long, does not cross a single traffic light and leads through the entire city with almost no waiting times. It is almost completely illuminated and runs - marked by corresponding pictograms on the ground - along the scenic Dreisam and is the fastest connection

The route mostly follows quiet, narrow roads. It includes some steep climbs and descents. It's almost entirely paved, except for the 300-meter section of the trail from Rinken down into the Zastertal valley. Nevertheless, it's easily doable even with a racing bike.

This is a beautiful road bike tour over three well-known Kaiserstuhl passes. Each of the three passes—the Kreuzenbuck, the Texas Pass, and the Schelinger Höhe—offers a tough, steep section to tackle.

This loop can easily be incorporated into a Freiamt tour. A nearly traffic-free, beautiful little road leads up to Schillinger Berg, with some steep sections. Once at the top, there are magnificent views of the Elz and Simonswald valleys. The descent to Siegelau is steep and narrow, so proceed with caution.

A beautiful tour for a road or gravel bike with almost 1,000 meters of elevation gain. There can be some traffic between St. Märgen and St. Peter, but the descent is brisk, and the panorama is spectacular.

A slightly wider curve via Forchheim and Wyhl leads to the western Kaiserstuhl. From Bischoffingen, the route leads into the vineyards and the first mountain challenges.
