APS Osservatorio Raffaelli Dal 1883

L'Osservatorio Meteorologico, Agrario e Geologico Prof. Don Gian Carlo Raffaelli è un istituto storico fondato ufficialmente nel 1883 a Bargone (Casarza Ligure, Genova). Nato dall'iniziativa dell'omonimo sacerdote, l'ente è stato riscoperto e trasformato in un museo scientifico attivo a livello nazionale. Il fondatore: Don Gian Carlo Raffaelli, parroco originario di Bagnone, dedicò la sua vita agli studi scientifici uniti al ministero sacerdotale. A partire dal 1883 iniziò i primi rilevamenti, istituendo l'osservatorio a proprie spese. La struttura ha svolto un ruolo pionieristico nel monitoraggio delle calamità naturali, del clima e dell'agricoltura in Val Petronio e nella Riviera Ligure di Levante.
Attività e Struttura
Oggi, l'osservatorio è gestito dall'omonima Associazione di Promozione Sociale (sotto la direzione di Claudio Monteverde) ed è affiliato a numerose reti scientifiche tra cui il C.N.R. e la Società Meteorologica Italiana.
Il polo si articola in due macro-aree principali:
Area Storica: Ospita lo studio originale del fondatore, con i suoi strumenti storici, la biblioteca e le carte d'epoca.
Area Scientifica (Museo del Clima e delle Scienze): Propone percorsi dedicati a meteorologia, geologia, astronomia e protezione civile
