Made my way to Hassfurt today, March 30th, 2021. Rushed over many dirt roads, experienced gravel roads.
Thanks to Harald, who drew my attention to the Pfaffensteg !!
Ellersthäuser See with its holiday complex was a bit confusing, but just as planned, after crossing the dam, turn left and just drive the barely visible trail and it fits :-).
After Rednersdorf, unfortunately the Corona beer garden was partially closed, we went into the trail fun of the Wässernachtal. The trail welcomed me with plenty of roots, great for fans of riding technique, great surprising moments with steep banks and a few centimeters of trail on root terrain. A slip almost gave me a broken spoke. I was lucky and continued to enjoy the trail.
Details: The trail can be divided into three parts. The first third is very deeply rooted and partly lined with felled trees. The second third is very flowy, puts you in the mood for more root passages that are simply fun but also suddenly contain difficult S2 passages. The last third shows very large roots, as well as transverse root ends protruding into the trail, one of which would have cost me almost a spoke.Shortly before the Wülflingen sports field, you just have to roll out.
In summary: Just something different with a brilliant finish - the Wässernachtal Trail, which I want to enjoy again. And ... also a little delicacy for hikers, especially when the beer gardens are open again 😉

We started from Thüringer Hütte. Gigantic views with moments of surprise open up in this direction on the Stirnberg on Wasserkuppe and Milseburg and after Rhönklub memorial site on the Swabian sky on Rennsteig, Gleichberge, Saale Valley, Hassberge, Steigerwald .......
