The path leads almost exclusively through the village. The walk along the lake is rather uninteresting, as the view of the lake is rarely unobstructed. However, you'll be rewarded with a beautiful view if you head back up the hill. The small church in the village is very beautiful.

The tour is part of the 3-Lakes Trail. We walked from Schwarzsee back to the lake because we wanted to stop at one of the restaurants. It would have been possible even after the 'full' loop, but we wanted to start slowly.
We walked the remaining section of the 3-Lakes Trail over the raised bog later and can highly recommend it!
