Neil Robertson

Mostly utility cycling or tourist type meandering on canals and paths on ebike (no it's not cheating) but known to venture unassisted or city prowl on Brompton even been seen out of natural habitat on MTB but never Red or Black.
Has even been known to travel on two feet sometimes, walking up to 10 miles, or up to jogging pace for exercise and weight loss assistance but never more than 5k at a time.

A trip to see Emma Doran in the Pleasance - I left after 40min to me a rather random ramble through her life and relationship with her mother mainly. Cynical yes but not funny enough to be captivating.

At 12C - a chill enough day to demand the Rohan but also short sharp showers which I mainly managed

Today's culture was a discussion on the deeper mystery of and insight into the world of the book translator by three actual translators and sometimes authors Polly Barton, Daniel Hahn and Anton Hur.

Some deep thoughts on keeping the fidelity or putting your own slant on it plus using specific localised

Another day another fringe trip.

It was surprisingly cool at 16C today - glad I put my jacket on to set off, first stop was Caffè Nero for coffee and lunch.

The bus would not have been a smart alternative - townbound traffic at West Nicolson St moved not one car length for 2 full cycles of the lights

A lovely warm summer's day for cycling to two Fringe events, the first in George Square was a superb genius look at life for "pioneers" living in a controlled environment where they never age and the dilemma of the company closing down the experiment.

Lunch was an excellent wrap taken home from Nile Valley

Just a short trip today to Liberton IT hub plus to Straiton for some errands.

No customers at the hub so we just sat and chatted about holidays etc.

Straiton was an odd need - small tins of butter beans which Waitrose do not stock and some of the rather nice M&S rolls - both Oatmeal and seeded for lunches

Excellent use of the ebikes(s) on a very warm and muggy day.

Trip one was to the excellent Anne-Isabel Meyer cello recital at St Cuthbert's church on Lothian Road which we followed up with lunch at Caffè Nero.

The church is also hosting The Really terrible orchestra - night at the movies on Saturday

Just standard round calling into the farmshop for some tomatoes and also acquiring a punnet of strawberries.

The campsite is fairly busy with what is obviously a group visit of some description and, a very rare event, we even spotted an Alphard with an orange pop top.

Very warm but quite a few walkers

An early start for a coffee and catch up with an ex school/scout/work friend.

Beautiful sunny warm day - ideal for ebike given the hill from Lasswade up to Broomieknowe. A good long natter on holidays and life - apparently Spain in July where it hit's 40C may not be the ideal destination. Dog walking

That was manic - I have never seen Edinburgh so busy and so jammed up.

I was looking for a jar of white asparagus which nobody seems to keep anymore so we went for a windy meander round Real foods, Polish supermarket, Chinese supermarket and Aldi with a Caffè Nero coffee and biscotti in between.

There

I needed to drop a sketch off to Turner's the blacksmith in Penicuik and decided despite the blustery conditions to take the bike.

Quick stop on the way up at Glencorse Community centre and cafe just to see what they do - nice looking cakes and well busy and a rather nice Cube cargo bike locked up there
