Another very mild and wind free autumn day with more errands needed and I simply can't resist ambling down the very autumnal looking Hermitage path which was very much quieter than usual, I must have missed the post lunch and pre-dinner dog walking slots 🤣🤣

Due to being full of the cold neither of us felt like walking far but we needed some shopping so gentle pedal seemed like a good compromise.
Gentle indeed given the pretty strong southerly winds which would made for thoroughly unpleasant walking.

My ebike was ready, well not yet fully working so it is going back yet again but that's for another day.

Another day another errands walk - a joint gentle afternoon stroll this time to Lidl at Straiton and another chance to identify the mystery tree beside the step up from the path into their car park.
It was very warm in the still strong sun and I was really glad I left my jacket at home.

As my bike is in having its gear hub adjusted/new cable fitted I borrowed Cathie's for a trip to Machine Mart for a box of self tapper screws this afternoon.
It is quite different to mine and a lot more nimble, probably down to being a few kg lighter with smaller wheels, more noticeable is the lower torque

The iron saga is hopefully over. Went looking for a Philips steam iron in John Lewis on Saturday, showing two in stock on their website but none on the shelf, as we stood there an ex colleague of mine appeared asking to return a Tefal which was faulty. She opted for the same Philips as we wanted so
