In bright sunshine and early summer temperatures, I once again went on a short hike in the beautiful Glottertal valley. The vineyards and extensive hiking trails provide ideal conditions. There are numerous opportunities to take a short break on well-placed benches, not least to enjoy the beautiful views.

In bright sunshine – and initially cool temperatures (10 degrees Celsius) – I began my Kandel hike. It's a circular trail that offers many beautiful and far-reaching views of the surrounding landscapes. A highlight, in my opinion, is the Thomas Hut. Tiers is a beautiful, well-kept little town. I think it's worth a visit to enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains. Tiers is known as the starting point for numerous hiking trails on the Rosengarten (Catinaccio) trail.

In summery temperatures, with plenty of sunshine and excellent visibility, we went on a hike on the Seiser Alm. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we were only able to explore and get to know a small part of this beautiful high alpine pasture with its impressive mountain ranges.

The starting point of my hike was the "Caritas House" on the Feldberg (1,250 m above sea level).

There are currently numerous rotor blades for wind turbines that were manufactured in India stored on the side of the road.

My goal was to enjoy the wonderful late summer weather, up on the Feldberg, with pleasant temperatures (22 degrees) and excellent visibility. My hike took me past numerous Feldberg huts, down to the Raimartihof guesthouse (with refreshments) and ended at Titisee. The weather conditions changed a little

On the ridge between Thurner and Kandel we - my brother-in-law Rolf and I - hike in sunny late summer weather from St. Märgen over the Kapfenberg (1,039 m above sea level) first to St. Peter and then, on the opposite side of the mountain, back to our starting point (hiking car park at Birkweghof).

A beautiful hiking tour; The start was the Naturfreundehaus am Feldberg.

On the heights of the Black Forest, our current high summer temperatures are easy to bear. The distant view is excellent. There are numerous places to stop for refreshments. All in all a very nice eventful day.

The hiking tour leads from Hinterzarten first up to the Hinterwaldkopf (district of Oberried).

In the north, the Hinterwaldkopf is bordered by the Höllental and in the south by the Zastlertal.

The open summit area offers beautiful views.

Then it goes down to the Höfner Hütte or via the Giersberg (pilgrim
