You can take bus 15 from Taichung train station. It runs every 20 min. Walk up track 9 and 9.1 back. Takes about 1-1,5 hour. Great view when you are up there! Many other options possible. When I was there (09/25) track 10 was closed.

Free parking at the beginning of the trail. Easy to reach by car, scooter or bike! It only takes 10 min to the waterfall, so if you dont want to do the full walk, just go up to the waterfall. There is also the beginning of another trail, just opposite.

Easy to reach by bus 299 from Taipei main station... you can do more walks when you are up but also keep it short by walking tours the first Lookout and back. There are restrooms and benches for a break. Take enough water!

The whole way around the lake is about 33-35km and it takesat least 3,5-4 hours (with a normal bike). I didn't take an ebike, so it definitely takes 4 hours - more with stops on the way. There are many construction workers on the pathway right now, so be prepared to ride your bike on the road, because
