Very muddy along badly eroded tracks and trails. Would need a prolonged dry spell to make this pleasant underfoot. The surrounding countryside is a fine example of everything that's wrong with upland land management!

Very muddy and wellies recommended unless it's been a long, dry spell. The footpath over the field has been ploughed and planted but just trample through it.

Fascinating way to spend an hour. The Trail is easily accessible, has a fascinating history and is destined to rot away (by design) so don't leave it too late to visit. There are 11 sculptures, each with an interesting interpretation behind it.

Easy and pleasant walk to while away an hour ot two. Easy to find car park and close to facilities im Boat of Garten. A couple of muddy spots but generally good paths you can manage in trail shoes. Beautiful views and stunning woodland ecosystems.

If you find yourself driving down the M6 towards Tebay on a sunny day and with time on your hands, this walk won't disappoint. The return leg is on the Dalesway but be aware there a couple of big trees down across the path (Apr 22) which you'll need to climb over/under.
