Apart from the wrong date, (actually done on 10/8/2019) this was a great ride.
A slow start, Zac and I made our way to the start of the Albany Highway and met Shiva. There is a bike lane alongside Albany Highway with most of the cycleway separated from the pedestrians. Seem to work really well. And
I've wanted to have a look around at the recent development at Hobsonville for a long time. I worked there for a number of years and it now looks very different, but oh so familiar.
What used to be an Airforce Base is now a new community. The build is modern, medium density housing and the roads are
A wee adventure, an easy ride from Huntly to Hamilton. The weather we wet when we left Auckland but we drove out of the rain... hoping it would stay dry for a decent length of time. It lasted maybe 5 minutes of riding and withing 20 minutes it was reasonably heavy.
