The strade was bianche with frost at the start (-2, according to Garmin, which clearly didn’t like it & seized up, hence this starting at Whittlesford). Strade was sometimes great: fast gravel tracks & byways, turned gialla in places, but mostly was strade schifosa: shitty, claggy & often unrideable
