Had to check out this new pumptrack. Finally Oslo has a proper one, and the location is 👌🏻 (in my opinion)!

I thought it was a bit of a shame that this years’ Synnfjell Enduro had to be cancelled, and I also felt sure that the season had now ended, although quite unspectacularly. This was until Joar invites for a season’s last ride at Frysjøen, and what a ride it turned out to be. We were lucky with the weather, and the trails here were beautiful, although it was a bit wet and slippery today. That didn’t stop us from having an absolute blast though. Thanks for inviting! ❤️

Hike-a-bike to the top, and all fun downhill. Not staying long in the area this year, but I’m glad I had time to do this. Video in the comments. 👇🏻

Time to go back! We packed our camp together, which made for significantly lighter backpacks now that the food was mostly gone. First leg was back to Mogen, and again the trail gives you some absolutely stunning views.

Day two was spent mostly just hanging around camp, enjoying the weather, fishing and relaxing. However, the 12yo and I went on a little «recon» mission to explore our surroundings, practice some orienteering skills and fill out water bottles.

After a few kilometers through the woods the trail winds upwards and you pass the sign marking the Hardangervidda border. Following advice we got at Mogen we found a beautiful camping spot by the shore of Gjuvsjåen.

After an hour and a half onboard the Fjellvåken II across Mjøsvatn we landet at Liset. From here we hiked to Mogen, our first stop, where we got some advice on where to camp.

The cars dropped us of at Gergeti Trinity Church. After having had a look at the church we started for the Sabertse Pass. Coming over the crest at the pass, with Mt. Kazbegi and the terrain around revealed, was breathtaking. From here we walked down again, in weather that shifted rapidly from sunshine to rain and back again, this time all the way down to the village, and to the hotel. Annoyingly enough the GPS glitched a little on the way back today, accounting for the long straight line in the track log, but other than that everything went super.

We broke camp again and headed for Juta, where we would be picked up by the cars. This last part of the hike went through a beautiful green valley, on a winding, mellow trail. Lots of horses and cows. Sorry to leave these parts of the mountains behind, but we have one more day of walking tomorrow.
