A fantastic, varied trail with public transport. Starting at 9:03 AM at the Gmünder Hut, you can stop for a bite to eat at the Kattowitz Hut and catch the 3:40 PM bus for the return trip at the barrier. The Salzgitter Steig offers panoramic views and is challenging right to the end.
