Pretty great swimming holes at this part of the river, also make a great picnic spot.Look out for the 'no dumping sign ' otherwise it's easy to miss the turn off. If you don't have a MTB just push your bike at the last part and find somewhere to stash it. Water quality can be checked online, if it's

We didn't come across any wineries! Just a bad taste going past the compost centres. You have to go way off the beaten track to find them! Rabbit island is great. You could do some of this on a road bike if you have tyres with good grip. I managed but had to go pretty slow on the gravel tracks.
