Great tour of the beautiful mountains around La Grave and Villar-d'Arêne though some very steep and tricky uphill sections at the start between La Grave and Villar-d'Arêne are not particularly fun and could be skipped.

A few tips: take the two cable cars up to Schareck mountain (no additional fee for bikes but you have to take off the front wheel and the gondola is quite small (27.5' bike frame size M barely fits). Avoid the two sections marked as a "highlight" 1. narrow path from cable car to Hochtor and 2. the section
