The Dale Dike reservoir water level was exceptionally low allowing us to walk into the middle.

Nice easy walk up and over for a gorgeous view of the reservoir, then down through almost mythical looking twisted woods before touching down at the overflow plug whole. Then it's over the viaduct, a pint / coffee in Ladybower Inn then the last bit up a rugged path onto open moorland back to cutthroat bridge.
