From Basel it's best to take the train to Hägendorf. The way to Teufelsschlucht is well marked with signs from the train station. Once you have reached the forest, there are also plenty of fireplaces available.
Hike further to Belchenflue for an amazing view of the alps.
From there you can either take

Take bus 282 from Lenk towards Iffigenalp. The bus did stop for the Iffigenfall (waterfall) to take a picture so you can save some time and energy in the beginning. At the Simmenfälle you can take bus 283 back to Lenk or walk. Be aware that these busses only go once an hour!
