Admiral McHardy route is dedicated to the founder of the Essex Police Service. An easy walk through changing scenery. Well signposted with a lovely tea hut at the finish. Easy parking for £5.

Far out. The nearest to this one are our DofE silver trips to Uckfield area. But I get the motivation of wanting to see a route for real. Pictures help to set the scene. Didnt see much stopping on the way !

These are deep woods and the start track looks like it has been trodden for hundreds of years. So you have made it a bit deeper. Thx.

I see your speed dropped to zero at one point. Love the pic of the lane through the bushes. No chariots to chide my slowness with their speed. You are moving further and further upstream. Nice route.

Fairly easy ride suitable for gravel bike and ridged mtb. Good mix of surfaces with nice woodland single track. Free parking at the start and finish. 45mins drive from W9 area of London.

Guessing you walked ( and swam a bit - I recognise the arm action) Lovely route especially the bit along the Thames. Did you invent it. That would need a paper map! Great idea. I should try and follow some of our running routes in the Chilterns - walking.

Must be great to find your way round these routes. Especially to know the tracks actually exsist. An not too far from home. I would call this an adventure.
Thx for the link.
