Epic cycling fully loaded for bike glamping. Some awesome cycle infrastructure and some on roads with fast cars but loads of room to pass safely. Hence not one of my regular scary moments! Incredible facilities laid on by the Swedish at the end of a hard day's ride. Just wonderful 👍😊

I really don't like this route as it highlights how awful cycle infrastructure is in the UK. Appalling confuing signage, crossing back and forth busy roads, lousy surfaces. Fixed sign posts and other street furniture in the middle of shared use paths. At least komoot find the most direct route.

The ride up the Sarthe was somewhat disappointing the surface was quite loose bumpy gravel, I did not continue on on to le mans because I was continually leaving the riverside with short steep climbs that my not enjoyable on such a hot day. as I was cutting across and deciding to head back to the Mayenne

This route was a pilgrimage for me to visit a particular chateau not open to public but had meaning for me. i had to cross the river on a ferry which is free 3.of charge but my advice is do not arrive at lunchtime. I had a rather hot wait! Please see photos for the timetable.

Overall this is a fantastic route, we found lovely lanes around the loop.
Just a couple of short sections that detracted from the experience.
The last mile or so of the Squirrel trail heading back to Newport is extremely rough. Ok for mountain or gravel bike. Thankfully not too far, could even be walked
