Started halfway up Grand-Saint-Bernard meant I had to ride 13km/800m for coffee. Slog through Aosta valley, stopped for a wholly unnecessary pizza for lunch. Intended camping at La Thuile - completely forgetting the mtb worldcup circus was in town. Instead, over Petit-Saint-Bernard in the rain & into a hotel in La Rosiere. I completely forgot just how cold it gets at 2000m in the wind & rain🥶

That ended up being further than planned. Getting out of Geneva with the heat & a triathlon taking place was tricky - but oh so worth it to be back riding in the alps again! Camping at Camping du Grand-Saint-Bernard (1500m alt.) given how hot it is in the valley's.
