First attempt at bikepacking. Tried to make do with an old, overloaded rucksack and some assorted dry bags from my canoeing days strapped to the bike with car luggage straps.

Had a great night in my bivi, being able to see stars in the cloudless night sky.
A tough day with lots of hike-a-bike in the very humid conditions and wobbly bags that I maybe hadn't secured too well!
Cut my route a little shorter than originally planned and dropped into Ambleside in the late afternoon
