The first section of this loop isn't beautiful, but once you reach the coast, it is striking - raw nature. Once you reach the tower, the views open up to the south and the path takes you past one beautiful beach or bay or swimming spot after another.

Great route up & over the Alb - incredibly peaceful, didn't see a soul for several hours (admittedly the weather was fresh, & a strong East wind) . Fab gravel 10km section though the narrow Tiefental valley - fun fast riding. Danube disappointing, dull riding and a strong headwind made that a schlepp

Not a great route - the section from Treffelberg - Donzdorf was great, but it was a long schlepp from Eschenbach-Geislingen-Treffelberg on or close to roads to get there.
