Ella to Ella via Ella Rock
Great hike to Ella Rock if you're looking for something more challenging than the "tourist" route. It takes you past a beautiful waterfall and through some quaint areas. GPS is pretty much mandatory to stay on track. You descend into the valley between Ella and the rock, then ascend pretty much vertically, almost to the top. It is physically challenging. As is the hike up from the 1st viewpoint to the 2nd. The 2nd viewpoint is worth the hike. The return from the peak is mostly on comfortable paths or roadways.
