All day endurance hike. Several grocery stores on the way - no need to carry all the provision from the beginning. Relatively flat - no major climbs or descents.

Quite industrial scenery, passing several ports and a shipbuilding facility. Since the path mostly leads North, the sun is not directly glaring into eyes.

On the first half of the hike there were plenty of fallen trees and unexpected ravines, several old footpaths have vanished under debris and it involved trespassing on private land - owners were helpful yet wary, Essentially - very slow self-torture with little scenery on the way. Sigulda - Līgatne roundtrip
Very nice endurance hike with plenty of beautiful scenery on the first half of the hike and relatively straightforward walk back. Note that the path near Gauja river involves some relatively steep climbs and descends, therefore surefootedness required.
