Hike: Valmiera to Cēsis.
Highly recommended!
This route is not as popular as ones around Sigulda/Līgatne, however it is equally scenic and way more tranquil. I met almost no people throughout the hike, with an exception of Sandstone Cliffs of Gauja National Park, which is a known tourist attraction.

Hike: Līgatne ferry roundtrip around Amata river.
I do not recommend to follow the whole hiking path. The part of it starting from Līgatne and following Amata river upstream to Bille (Riga - Cesis Highway) was really enjoyable. However, the way back was uneventful if not torturous.

On the first half of the hike there were plenty of fallen trees and unexpected ravines, several old footpaths have vanished under debris and the path led straight through a private land - luckily the owner were helpful yet wary. Sigulda - Līgatne roundtrip
Very nice endurance hike with plenty of beautiful scenery on the first half of the hike and relatively straightforward walk back. Note that the path near Gauja river involves some relatively steep climbs and descends, therefore surefootedness required.
