we begin our ride early in the morning and head downhill to the old mining town of Rasa - however we strongly advise not to follow our track through the forest which is just unridable for gravel bikes. The frist 5km take us more than 1 hour.

From Buje, we followed the "Parenzana", the old railway that connected Parenzo to Trieste. This offers mellow rides on perfect gravel, with lots of viewpoints and opportunities to visit nearby medieval towns.
