Inspired by wittho1 and before the weather gets really dingy, we made another little tour to the Burgbergkapelle. One of my favorite places. The route runs mainly on the Bieberer Spessart track "Bieberer Galgenberg".

Before the beautiful winter weather is over again at Christmas, I used the last rays of the sun again to do a little lap ...

Been on the road again for a long time ... There are hardly any photos, because today the focus was less on running
The starting point is the parking lot below the Eidengesäßer Schützenhaus. From there it goes up towards the horseshoe to the refuge at Place de L 'Étoile. Over the Breitenborner Höhe to the Edelweißhütte and over the Kunstweg back to the Schützenhaus.

      A slightly different tour ...
A "hike" through the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe in Kassel up to the Hercules, the city's landmark.
535 steps (left) and 539 (right) line the cascade pools, in which the water features normally take place. Due to Corona, they are unfortunately canceled for the public.UNESCO distinguishes the mountain park as "an outstanding and unique testimony to European architecture and gardening."
The world cultural heritage covers 560 hectares.

Today the kids went on the barefoot path in Bad Orb. We parked at the "Molkenberg" parking lot (free of charge) because I was hoping to be able to walk to the guard tower on the Molkenberg again later. The Salinenplatz in front of the Kurpark is currently a major construction site until May next year and can therefore not be entered. We walk through the spa park and the saltworks to the starting point of the barefoot path. Here you can (unguarded) stow your shoes and stockings in the designated shelves. The path itself is getting on in years and needs to be renewed in some places. As it is a school project, it is financed through donations. In spite of everything, it is an experience and the guys had a lot of fun! There is a picnic at the treading pool before returning through the Orber Forest towards the spa gardens. Shortly before we do a dangling to the Küppelsmühle (formerly mill, today rehabilitation clinic), because I know from earlier that every 5 minutes "Das Müllerchen" looks out of the window from a small half-timbered house. The kids liked that so much that we stayed seated until it came out a total of 5 timesI'm a little shocked by the state of the old town and its alleys. And while I'm just thinking about it and we are strolling through Kanalstrasse (formerly a pretty side street with small shops) with ice cream in hand, a woman is throwing garbage out of the window at our feet!? 🤔

We ran a very nice tour from Wiesthal today. I took so many impressions with me that it is difficult for me to sort everything out.
We started at the multi-purpose hall in Wiesthal. Shortly after the start, the first highlight awaits us, the glory mill. It is obtained from the Mill Association and is even ready for use and can be viewed.
The path into the forest is lined with heathland and the typical pine vegetation. Unfortunately partly extremely dried up. We then take a really beautiful ravine to the Kreuzkapelle, which lies between Frammersbach and Wiesthal.spessartprojekt.de/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/2020_KW_Framm_T_4_Kreuzkapelle.pdfIt continues through fairytale-like forest covered with lots of moss to the Aubachsen. We cross the Aubach and reach the "Fischerhütte" inn located in the forest. A popular destination for hikers and mountain bikers. On the way to Habichsthal we pass another mill and several rest areas. In Habichsthal there is the country inn "To the fresh source". Unfortunately it is very crowded and we haven't made a reservation. But since we only want to have a drink, we have the opportunity to sit down opposite on the "village meadow". A lovingly designed garden with lots of small details.
Above Habichsthal we go back to Wiesthal via the old church path with its wayside shrines and a beautiful rooty trail.
The tour is one of 12 tours of the Spessart-Wanderchallenge-2021 of the Spessartbund and really to be recommended! 👍🏻spessartbund.de/wanderchallenge

A tour with wonderful views up to the skyline of Frankfurt. Unfortunately a bit hazy, but still beautiful.
The start and finish was the parking lot at the Hoherodskopf. Quiet in the morning and absolutely overcrowded in the afternoon because of the numerous overpriced "family offers".
erlebnisberg-hoherodskopf.deOver colorful mountain meadows, trout ponds and wooded areas with thick basalt stones, we sometimes have quite steep climbs behind us.The highlight of the tour is the Bilstein, an impressive, legendary rock cliff with a view of the Rhine-Main region, the Taunus and the Gießener Land.geopark-vogelsberg.de/vulkanwissen/was-ist-ein-geotop/listenuebersicht/bilstein.htmlLink to the tour:vogelsberg-touristik.de/aktiv/wandern/premiumwege/gipfeltour.html#/de/vogelsberg-touristik/default/detail/Tour/t_100161646/gipfeltour-schottenPart of the tour is on the Camino de Santiago.
