Very nice and adventurous hike in the middle part (in a positive sense). The canyon is very narrow in parts, the stones are slippery and sometimes quite demanding. Good footwear is a must. Great hike above Arolla with beautiful panoramic views of the glacier and the mountain massif. The marmot route is equipped with information signs (only in French) at regular intervals. We were lucky and were able to observe a marmot up close :-). The hike is very steep at the beginning but easy to walk
