Yetholm has a well stocked community run shop. The Italian restaurant in Wooler was very popular - busy midweek with walkers and locals, best to book a table in advance.

Good community run shop at Morebattle with coffee machine and a wide range of supplies - very pleasant seating area in the garden at the back of shop. A good place to stop and refuel before heading up the big climb of the day.

Trains run regularly between Edinburgh Waverly and Tweedbank rail stations - the journey takes 1 hour and a single ticket cost £14.10. Melrose Abbey is a 3km walk along a well signposted path - buses also run regularly from the station to Melrose, check the Borders Buses app for times and tracking. Trousers
