A beautiful easy but long hike through the Rupertiwinkel.
This tour is easily accessible by public transport. From Traunstein the train takes us directly to Ruhpolding. Soon you have left the community, always wanders along a small river along with beautiful views out of the valley into the mountain landscape. Later it goes into the forest on wide forest roads after some time to meet after a small increase in altitude on the bog experience path Inzell. Here we make a short detour on perfectly maintained paths to hike through the middle of the moor. Past Inzell you will reach Krottensee, a wonderful nature experience. We go back the short distance and later turn left to St. Nicholas Church Einsiedl. Back to Inzell on a small street to get to the bus station. This drives on the weekend only every 2 hours and brings us back to Traunstein.

From Ohlstadt it goes away from the station in an easterly direction and then through the village to the trail parking lot, where the trails begin in the direction of home garden on Wankalm and Rauheck. You quickly gain height and when you step out of the forest about 20 'in front of the Wank-Alm, you have a perfect view of Ohlstadt, the Loisachtal and the mountains opposite, such. the Ettaler Mandl (and a snack bar). About 450 meters after the Wankalm it goes to the right, actually trailless towards Ölrain and Hirschberg past a stone circle, where we keep slightly to the left of the fall line. Shortly after the edge of the forest, past a few large spruce trees, you meet again on the recognizable trail. Here, too, you quickly gain altitude, go around the Ölrain and finally reach the saddle between Hirschberg and Ölrain. Then it goes straight towards the summit of the Hirschberg, where you can enjoy a clear view of the Estergebirge, Wetterstein and Ammergauer in the vicinity but also further afield on Guffert, Unnütz and Rofan - and far to the east the Wilder and Zahmen emperors - and from afar the glaciated Stubaitaler can greet. The further route leads back to the saddle between Hirschberg and Ölrain and then practically downhill to the Ölrain, a hiking trail is no longer recognizable - meaningless. The descent begins equally trackless exactly west always on the ridge, which extends in the direction of Loisachtal. Between the trees of the sparse forest, we soon meet again on a footprint and it goes past adventurous or chaotic fallen in the fall gales or hurricane large spruce, which have partially exposed with the roots of the limestone. The footprint is easily recognizable, then becomes a narrow footpath and surrounds the places where it is interrupted by fallen trees. Continuing in the direction of the easter fire, the mountain slope is very narrow, the (grass) slopes steep - and you have to take the steps wisely. Approximately a quarter of an hour before the easter fire tip wonderful prospects are opening up, we are stepping out of the forest - and in one place (photo) the fellow travelers are unlikely to rest from a long break. After the cross of the Easter Fire Point, where you meet the first afternoon walkers from Eschenlohe after a rather long (guaranteed) lonely hike, the descent normalizes to an average serpentine path with lots of root system in between. At the end you meet the paved road along the Eschenlaine, keeping to the right and is in a few minutes in Eschenlohe place, where an economy with outdoor area immediately after the newly built Loisachbrücke to thirsty invites (unfortunately has in my group between arrival there and departure of the train not served - also because the waiter was alone and a bit overwhelmed).
