The conventional tour starts and ends in Luzern, leaving stage 4 quite a big day. This is a short day, not so bad for a warm up. So we started in Meiringen and split Stage 4.
Details of the route, and Stages, can be found here luzern.com/en/detail/poitype/outdooractivetour/poi/route-1291

Was hot hot day ... and we conspired to lose the trail. Generally easy to follow, but today so many switches between Swiss marked bike routes managed to confuse us. Stayed in Meggen, just 20 min by bus (free with hotel card) from Luzern, much better value.

Stayed Gæsthaus Brunnig Kulm, bike friendly with small locked room, charging points and floor pump.

Rode part of the route only. Avoids the RN94, with fine views of the Durance valley. Details here, in FR: alpesdusud.alpes1.com/news/hautes-alpes/70099/hautes-alpes-a-bicyclette-decouvrez-ou-redecouvrez-vos-balades-a-velo-et-vtt-sur-alpes-1

Better than following the RN94, though at expense of +200m more climbing. Details here: alpesdusud.alpes1.com/news/hautes-alpes/70099/hautes-alpes-a-bicyclette-decouvrez-ou-redecouvrez-vos-balades-a-velo-et-vtt-sur-alpes-1

Spectacular day, and in good weather not as tough as expected. Long descent from Grimel, we should have missed the long tunnel (just after 1597m on map), but the signposting is not clear, the tunnel certainly taxes the concentration !
