This is a short route through some old and unused roads (which took to Kumbakonam) but perfect for cycling still. The strech where we see the arched bridge is great for a photo stop. It is a small distance from that bridge before we rejoin road to Thittai village. There is a popular temple in Thittai

Mariamman Kovil is a popular Hindu temple for the goddess 'Mariamman'. It gets quite busy on weekends and holidays. Another relaxing route through open fields and rail crossings. Dawn riders can enjoy abundant birds along the ride. Break for refreshments at Alakkudi village where one can catch weekly Sunday market. Return back with lot of headwinds in Summers.

Nice and comfortable route through slight climb at 6 to 8 kms and then flat all the way. Break at Ayngaran coffee shop at Thirukkaanoorpatti for morning refreshments. Witness Sukhoi jets and men in uniform as we pass through the Air Force Base.
