James is a member of The North Face’s Explorer Team and an avid ultra runner, coach and adventurer.
Running has taken him all over the world and he has taken part in some of the world’s biggest and most prestigious ultra races including UTMB, Western States Endurance Run, Transgrancanaria, Lavaredo, Spartathlon and more recently the 430km Ultra Gobi - arguable the hardest single stage desert race on the planet - where he finished in fifty place in 93hrs.
In 2017, he set the Fastest Known Time for a crossing of Mallorca on the GR221 Dry Stone Route which ignited his passion for multi-day self-supported running adventures. Since then he has planned and run trips to Menorca, Nepal, Ibiza, Madeira and, closer to home, the Isle of Man.
