If you like the cultural landscape of the Biesenthal Basin, you will love it in autumn. The tour works, however, in other seasons;)
There is a lot of variety between forest, wetlands, lakes and meadows. Pause can be in 3 places, one more beautiful than the other.
We will go the tour more often in the future, because we really liked it very much.

Unfortunately, the weather did not really play, but the hike was still great.
It is understood that the path is mainly through forests. But there are also some open areas with beautiful views of the rolling hills around Grumsin and Altkünkendorf.
The horses of the stud Angermünde are one of the highlights. We enjoyed watching them on the pasture.

It was the last day of our holiday and we wanted to enjoy one last time the vineyards of the Mosel very intense. This works fine with this tour, it is relatively flat, the trails are all wide and easy to walk and most of it goes through the middle of grapevines.
All in all a really relaxed tour with some great views.
Unfortunately, after a short break, I forgot to re-enable GPS tracking for a while. So the tour is a bit longer than Komoot indicates, I think. It will be about 1- ½ km more. The way is not to be missed;)

A little tour at Sankt Aldegund. Since the weather was not so great, we abbreviated Kulturweg. The Buchsbaumweg is definitely worth a visit. But you should make sure that the weather is not too wet, otherwise you slip away quickly here. The last section with the descent into the valley was completely plowed up by wild boars and the path is often no longer recognizable. Nevertheless, an absolute recommendation from us!

This tour is for lovers of forest, meadows and streams. There is plenty to enjoy here. The start at the suspension bridge Geierlay is a highlight. Unfortunately, the search for a parking lot is complex. The way from the various parking spaces to the bridge is also rather bad than quite signposted, but also leads to funny situations. For example, we met a few hikers in the valley of Mörsdorfer Bach, where we had inquired about the way 30 minutes earlier in Mörsdorf. This time we could describe exactly how they come to the bridge.Along Mörsdorfer Bach along the Talrandweg to the Pulgersmühle. A really nice and relaxed hiking trail. Here you can enjoy fresh forest air to the fullest.Continue through the Flaumbach valley to the white mill. The valley is characterized by wide, lush meadows with individual tree stands. Here you can always stop and just let your eyes wander, a real treat. On the way to Beilstein we now have a mountain in the way;), but the paths are easy to commit. Here we walk to Beilstein through dense forests with rich green and earthy hues.
In the city itself, there are too many attractions to list here. We ended the day with a good coffee on the Moselle.

First, a warning to the section Breva wine & way: This is cross-dangerous and should not be committed lightly. For details see below in the comment. We started the tour after a tour through the Bundesbank bunker Cochem -> bundesbank-bunker.de. The visit is worthwhile for anyone who has an interest in the history of the FRG and the DM. From there it goes via the Brauselay, the Apolloweg and the Breva Steig to Bruttig. The Brauselay is beautiful and invites you to linger and enjoy. There are beautiful views of the Moselle and Cochem and wonderful forest trails to see. The Apolloweg leads through the old vineyards of Valwig and is wonderfully suitable to hike after the climb to the Brauselay relaxed. The Breva Wine & Trail leads along very narrow and winding paths through the vineyards to Bruttig. I would like to recommend the way, because it is really unique. Unfortunately, the security is poor and many dangerous places are not secured. In addition, the path is spilled in places or over- or under-flushed. We also scared a few wild boars, who had made themselves comfortable in the hillside. No fun on a super tight path without a backup.I would not go to the Breva again, but I'm honest glad to have gone the way. So please enjoy with great care. In case of doubt, keep to the left of the flag and run over Valwigberg to Bruttig.

We have been to the Mosel many times before and actually we made the Calmont every time ... this year it finally worked out.
It was absolutely worth it, not only because of the view. Since we are more used to hiking in the flat north, the via ferrata and the many climbs were a special challenge for us. It was fun and unique.
Beware of the increase of Brem on the mountain trail, which we found more exhausting than the actual via ferrata.

2 of our highlights in a tour, the Liepnitzsee and the Schönower Heide. Especially now in September, both are not so crowded and invite you to a relaxed hike.
Lanke as a starting point, because it is wonderfully accessible from Bernau by bus 890.
