I like walking, cycling and running mostly around my home county of Devon. Can never stay indoors for a whole day. Keep up the adventures!

Had to wait for my front bike wheel to get replaced at the bike shop, so a stroll became a big walk. Exminster marshes were very wet and boggy and the black path on komoot disappeared, but I walked on humps of grass and made it to the canal path on the other side. Was glad to have proper walking boots. I stopped at 'Cafe on the corner' community cafe in Exminster for a nice tea and 🍪 for fuel to tackle the Marshes, only coast £2.5. Walking back along the canal was a pleasent stroll with Reed beds creating an alley for the walkers only section. I saw a bright Kingfisher fly across the canal, and many cormorants diving for fish. One came up with a giant fish in it'd beak and others flew in to snatch it. The fish was too big and struggled free to live another day. I had no idea I had walked so far.

Just walking 4 or 5 miles can be experienced as an adventure if you treat it as one. I tested my new tent, warmed up a coffee on my stove, spoke to a man from kurdistan in a vape shop andearned about their people, spoke to a bird watcher who taught me how to tell the difference between a Shag and Great northern diver I watched a big raven chase a buzzard near the cliffs, saw the first gorse flowers of speing, had an amazing egg, chips and beans for just £3 at Hope church in Dawlish, cooked to perfection, and included a free piano player to listent to, and looked at rock formations which felt like the Grand canyon. A Dolphin sadly was washed up on the beach, but reminds me of all the incredible wildlife on this planet. There can be so much just on our doorstep if we are curious and just go for it. Oh, and bring imagination and a sense of humour -it makes the hard times better and the good times "gooder" XD
