Slopes of Volcano Malinche Hike
A relatively easy hike up and down the slopes of Malinche, starting and finishing at San Miguel Canoa, about an hour by bus from Puebla City. There are a number of paths one can follow, which are visible on OpenMaps as well as on the official Carta Topografica 1:20000 E14B43 c, Puebla-Tiaxcala (the latter can be downloaded from www.inegi.org.mx/temas/topografia; it has more details, contour lines, etc). The downhill part was more pleasant, as it went over a proper hiking trail (unmarked), rather than crude narrow roads with a lot of large stones. We would recommend to follow it uphill, too.

Myers Flat Hike
Hike through Humboldt Redwoods State Park, well-maintained paths, magnificent trees, clean creeks. Both start and end points accessible by bus from Eureka CA.
