From the parking lot at the wildlife park we went past the Heimateck to the Dudelskirche. This was built until 1515, and when the Grünhain monastery was dissolved around 1536, the church was left to decay.
The path then leads quite steeply uphill, but you are also rewarded with wonderful views.

The path along the Zschopau side is very idyllic and is not short on beautiful views.
The way back went down the valley and wasn't that demanding, but since you can hear the cars and trucks on the B174 quite loudly, this piece wasn't that relaxing.
I therefore recommend walking the route in reverse.

In summer temperatures, it is a nice hike through the cool valley. Only the (sometimes no longer available) stairs from the pavilion back down into the valley are quite demanding. I recommend sturdy shoes for this.

Today a holiday round through the Great Ribnitzer Moor.

At lunchtime there is quite a lot going on at the Moorkaten.

As expected, all peoples were on the move on the Bastei…

Today a shorter break-in round for the new hiking boots.
With the warm weather it should rather be a tour in the cooler forest.
There are also steeper tours up the mountain for those who like and you don't have to walk on the asphalt road. For this you can 'follow' the former monarch King Johann von Sachsen…

In wonderful hiking weather, we got to know the beautiful area around Adorf, which Johann Wolfgang von Goethe had already enjoyed - even if only when he was passing through.
The old “Schönfeld Castle”, a moated castle inhabited from around 1100 to around 1450, is an archaeological monument that stimulates…
