Beautiful gorge. 20 minute descent from road to shallow river. (very limited parking along road). Nice place for children to play but deep enough to bathe in spots.Path to the left (downstream toward village) no longer exists. Heading upstream it is easier to cross to left bank at one point to avoid

Stunning. Long easy ascent from village up through high pasture land, farm and forest. Much steeper descent from the towers.

left the road to wade along the greve river. had to walk through some underbrush to get there, but… ne vale la pena on a hot day. after turning right and leaving the strada provinciale, you walk up through the pine forest. you must now scale a new fence to enter the vineyard and continue.

mid-october castagne/chestnuts ovunque/everywhere. recent logging made the trail difficult to follow early on. the grounds of the monastery are beautiful. atmosfera spirituale.

nice walk along the fosse. we parked at the cemetery. you could also begin and end at the parcheggio in barbarino.

Strenuous ascent, but worth it. The ridgetop is ledge and deep moss with views at several points. Don't miss Jennings 2/10 off trail to Sandwich. Great views south and west. The view from sandwich summit is north to Waterville valley and Osceola. Drake Brook trail, though a steep descent early on, made
