Start a little sooner than the standard tour from Portballintrae car park and walk alongside beaches before the majestic cliffs heading to Giant’s Causeway. You also bypass the visitor’s centre so your whole trip is free!

A nice, easy hour long hike to East Lighthouse with a couple of churches and ruins as highlights. Perfect if you’ve got the last ferry of the day to the island and have to be back for the last ferry back to the mainland!
